Do you want to get well,

do you want to rise again—

Jesus asked for desire.

Jesus asks for a yes.

Do you want to get well,

let your old excuses fail—

He was lying by the water,

thirty-eight years in the dust—

hope had settled into silence,

every dream reduced to rust.

But Jesus stood beside him,

cutting through the hopelessness—

not with shame or accusation,

just a question meant for him.

He said, “No one ever helps me,

and the others get there first—

every step I try to take

only leaves me as the cursed.”

But Jesus didn’t argue,

didn’t measure worth or sin—

He just spoke a word of freedom,

calling life to rise in him.

And suddenly it happened,

strength returning to his bones—

what he couldn’t lift for decades

he could carry on his own.

The word that Jesus gave him

woke the life he thought was gone—

and the man who once lay helpless

stood and walked into the dawn.
