When You Welcome the Least, You Welcome the King

When You Welcome the Least, You Welcome the King
"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." -Matthew 25:40 Jesus doesn't just care for the vulnerable. He claims them. He names them family. He puts Himself in their place. Not just those born into His household. But those who belong to His heart. Those doing the Father's will. That belonging has a face. And it looks like this: The hungry. The homeless. The tattered. The tired. The dismissed. The ones we pretend not to see. Jesus wants us to know: When we show them kindness, We're showing Him kindness. When we welcome the least, We welcome the King. You may not know this about Jesus: He doesn't say, "Try harder to care." He says, "See Me in them."
