Jesus Revealed Why The Father Loves The Unlovable

Jesus said the Father pours out goodness
without bending His goodness to anyone's behavior,
like a musical note that refuses to choose which ear it will reach.

His blessing falls on fields with broken fences and tangled weeds,
and fields tended with care,
on people whose lives lie like shattered pots on the ground,
and people whose flaws stay guarded—
like secrets locked in a safe.

What would the Father do
when two farmers—
one righteous,
one unrighteous—
look to the same sky for sunshine and rain?

Would He draw a line in the clouds?
Give sunshine to one and not the other?
Send rain to one and leave the other without?

We don't have to guess.
Jesus tells us exactly what the Father does—
and then He tells us why.

Because His goodness flows from who He is,
not from who we are
or what we do
or fail to do.

His goodness originates in Himself.
It flows from His essence,
like a spring that can't stop running clear,
or a sun that can't stop rising bright.

The Father blesses
even when the field is blighted,
even as the field is failing,
even after the field is barren.

He does not wait
for the farmer to fix the field.

He doesn't bless by favor.
He blesses by His nature.

And in Luke 15,
Jesus didn't just teach that truth—
He illustrated it.

Two sons.
One openly unrighteous,
the other inwardly unrighteous.

Different sins.
Same Father.

He ran to the rebellious son.
He walked to the self righteous son.

He offered goodness to both—
not because they were good,
but because He is.

You may not know this about Jesus—
He told the story to show us a Father
who loves from who He is,
not from who we are.
That's what Jesus came to show us.
