This post really spoke to me Bill.

The allure of a greener field is always there—whether its our job, home, wife or anything else where we are tempted to seek out a better substitute. Whenever I start to drift in my own life, I try to ask myself if this is something that God wants for me or is it just what I desire?

I understand your feeling. It's snowing outside now and I looked out the window by my desk and saw part of the fallen tree covered with snow. Pretty but sad. I'm sorry about the loss of your grandmother. Did you dad also die?

Hey Bill,

That is a story that hits right to the heart. I remember when my grandma passed away in 2005. She lived in Iowa, where I was born and raised. Two weeks before she passed away, I was back there for a friend of mine who's daughter was getting married. The last thing I did before I flew out was to visit my Grandma, who had been bed ridden for about 2 months at the time. When I left, I gave her a hug and my Dad, who witnessed this, said that she had the biggest smile on her face that she had in a long time. I remember leaving and taking a good long look at her and got all teary-eyed as I drove off to the airport, knowing I would never see her again on this side of eternity. Lately, I have been thinking a lot about my Dad, who I haven't seen in about 2 years now, and how much I am missing not having him around. I struggle with being grateful and this was a good reminder to treasure the time you have with those around you.

Thank you,

Clint

Bill -
Thanks for sharing, you certainly have a way with words. God blessed you with that specific view and has now taken it for you to see something new I presume.

Brother Bill; I have nearly read through your book, The Jesus Experiment, and am thrilled with it. This goes so well with what I have been preaching to the people of the church my wife and I pastor. God has been leading us in this challenge as well and to lead our people in the same challenge. We plan to lead the people of our church, who choose to participate, in putting this experiment to work in our own lives more effectively. Thanks for being obedient to the call of God on your life too.

God bless you, Jim McGaffey

It was nice to see you and Cindy again at Thanksgiving. We had our sixth Bible Study on the movie "Courageous" tonight at Church. I was telling the men about you and how nice it was to visit with you once again.

We have had six men in our group and it has been a great experience for the men.

Take care Bill and say hi to Cindy.

Hi Bill, I have been leading a sexual integrity group at my church since 2008 and have been working on the momentum of the ministry. We have read your book, "When Good Men are Tempted" several times and as I have read a bit about you, saw that you have been a pastor. If you have the time, I have a few questions about the progress, roadblocks, and emotions that you have dealt with over the years.

Within my church, I have not noticed any type of backlash or avoidance due to our Clean Heart for Men ministry, however, I have experienced a pothole within our community. Mainly people who had become aware of my leadership in the ministry and not understanding it. You wrote your book, both editions, with honesty and openness.

I was wondering if you would be willing to share some insight that you have acquired over the years with me concerning this area: the best way to respond, how to minimize negative responses from others, and how to deal with these situations when people just experience complete spasms. There is more to my inquiry but I would prefer that not to be on a public forum. Thanks.
